RICHMOND, BC, Canada (October 9, 2018) - Lazar Consulting and Annex Consulting Group have partnered with the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure to assist with the implementation of the Variable Speed Limit System (VSLS).
VSLS’ goal is to reduce weather and traffic congestion related collisions by informing drivers of safe speed limits. VSLS has 53 sites and has been operating along three corridors on the Coquihalla Highway, Sea-to-Sky, and Trans-Canada Highway West of Revelstoke since summer 2016 with promising results.
The Ministry is expanding its VSLS by adding two new variable speed limit corridors, integrating congestion based intelligence, and installing additional weather and ambient light sensors.
Lazar Consulting is proud to contribute its enterprise system implementation expertise to this complex program.
